Australia Zoo

Further afield is the world famous Australia Zoo in Beerwah. This is the perfect family activity and the memory to the zoo will last a lifetime. At a leisurely half hour drive to Beerwah, Australia Zoo is the highlight for many visitors to the Sunshine Coast. With over 1,200 animals to see, ticket options also include a two day pass. It’s not hard to see why you need a couple of days to get through this experience when you can:

• See a saltwater crocodile launch from the water in the world-famous Crocoseum’s Wildlife Warriors show, and live shows including birds, otters, tigers, snakes and more
• Watch giraffes, zebras and white rhinos live together as they would in the wild in the African Savannah, Queensland’s only multi-species exhibit
• Get up close and personal with Sumatran and Bengal Tigers at the Tiger Temple
• For a true blue Aussie adventure, pat a cuddly koala, feed a kangaroo and see wombats, Tasmanian Devils and echidnas
